Jeanne spent most of her life as a teacher, having taught for 30 years, most of that time in Fairfax County, Virginia. At the time she retired, she was teaching English at Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield, Virginia. Following her retirement, Jeanne moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia to live her dream of being at the beach full-time and to be closer to family. Always one to stay active, she was an officer/member of a local garden club, an officer of her community association, and a member of two book clubs.
Jeanne will always be remembered as a loving mother and friend. She was an avid fan of college basketball, enjoyed watching figure skating, loved listening to music, and most of all cherished her time at the beach. Jeanne was generous with friends and family who she supported even when their dreams and desires were not her own. She will be missed.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held in Jeanne’s honor on May 31, 2019 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lesner Inn located at 3319 Shore Drive in Virginia Beach.
