Dean Richard Bell, age 69, of Norfolk passed June 15, 2019. Dean was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, to Robert Bell I and Mary Curtin Bell on March 15, 1950. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Linda (Norfolk, VA), daughter Kimberly Kliemann and husband Hal (Fort Worth, TX), son Robert Bell and wife Belinda (New Orleans, LA), daughter Martha Lukacs (Richland Hills, TX), his grandchildren Michael, Regina, Brandon, Bailey, Tyler and Sean, his great-grandson Phoenix, sisters Mrs. Kathy Caverly, Joanne Haislip (Richard), Sandy Charest, and Jane Baker (Bobbie), brothers John (Lynn), Thomas (Diane), and Brad (Kathy), sister - in - law Phyllis Grande (Nashua, New Hampshire).

He was predeceased by his father Robert, mother Mary, brother Robert Henry Bell, and his sisters Judy Daunce, Caroline Bell, and Susan Wood.
Dean retired from the US Navy as a SCPO after 28 years of proud and dedicated service. He was an inspiration to many who knew him.
Dean will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He was a greatly loved and respected head of his family. He was quick to help those in need, to offer a compassionate ear and a strong shoulder to lean on. Dean had a mischievous sense of humor, as anyone who ever took his picture can attest to. He was an extraordinary man who lived a wonderfully ordinary life filled with love and laughter.
