James Paul Ryan, age 30, of Suffolk, Virginia passed September 7, 2019. James was born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, to Paige Tremblay and Sean Ryan on February 2, 1989.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his sisters Brittany Ryan and Sarah Ryan, his niece Audrey Ryan, his brother Ian Keller, his beloved dog Maddie, his grandparents, Paul and Patricia Tremblay and Seamus Ryan, stepfather Dave Rhoda, stepmother Deborah Ryan. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles: Paul & Sharon Tremblay, Susan & Kevin MacFarlane, Melissa & Charlie Decowski. Cathy Simpson, and cousins: Aimee, Andrew & Aedan MacFarlane, Anthony Kopesky, Nicholas & Brandon Tremblay, Selena & Sabrina Huff. He also leaves behind his best friend Dan Murphy, and many other close friends in the Northeast. He is predeceased by Margharita Ryan, Jeanette Ryan and Joseph Kopesky.
James served his country as a Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard for 4 years. He also partook in many charity events to support causes that were especially important to him and his family.
James was the most kind, caring and loving person anyone could ever meet. He inspired so many people and provided unconditional support. He loved all things outdoors: cycling, snowboarding, hiking, camping.
James will always be remembered as a loving son, grandson, uncle, brother and friend.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
Another service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Mount Lawn Camp, 5190 Wickes Road, Bushkill, PA.
