Blue was one of the best welders on the East Coast, hell, maybe the entire United States. He loved his craft and was always willing to teach someone who wanted to learn. He was a no-nonsense man. If there was work to be done, then it was time to get it done. He was also the type of man that could have you pissed off and cussing him out in about 10 minutes. He loved to joke around and took pleasure in pushing people’s buttons to get a reaction. Blue would be willing to help damn near anyone that needed it.
There was nothing Blue loved more than riding his motorcycle. He once said,” There’s a freedom you can’t describe when you’re on a bike. You don’t have to know where you’re going. You just want to keep riding.” Between his motorcycles, his other half, Nancy McChesney, his “adopted” brother, John, and the family Blue had built, he had a good life. He did what he wanted to do, no matter what anyone else thought.
We should all aspire to live our lives like Blue. Make your own choice, do what you want to do, and the hell with everyone else.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464. The family would like to ask everyone to come dressed comfortably.
