Edith Marie Marsh, 95, of Chesapeake, Virginia passed away peacefully, February 5th, 2020 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.

Edith was born January 23rd, 1925 in Plymouth, Massachusetts to the late Prentice Brigham Childs and Emily Marie Childs. Growing up on a farm in Manomet, Massachusetts she found a true appreciate and love of animals, birds, flowers, and nature all together. She later moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan. Edith, alongside her husband of 17 years Robert Marsh Sr. Together, they operated “Pizza Bobs”. Known for their legendary pizzas on the University of Michigan Campus in Ann Arbor. She was often called the “Pizza Babe” alongside “Pizza Bob” himself. After moving to Virginia Beach in 1999 to live with her daughter, Sharon Shuler, son-in-law, Jeff and grandson Nathan Jeffrey Shuler; she stayed active and young at heart. She would often volunteer at the Virginia Beach SPCA and the Chesapeake SPCA. She was a longtime member of the Norfolk Botanical Gardens where she spent many afternoons with her family and friends. Edith was also a longtime member Greenbrier family Y.M.C.A.; and was part of the active older adults for the past 19 years. The light that we enjoyed and treasured that Edith provided has left us dark and lonely. What we'll treasure most about our memories of her is her genuine humanity that she shared freely with any and all persons. We're forever enriched by her example.

My deepest condolences to the family. There has never been a time I would see Edith without a smile on her face. She was a beautiful, classy woman who enjoyed life and who adored her daughter, Sharon. I live on the same street as Edith, so I would see her enjoying her strolls through the neighborhood by her daughter or caretakers. Again, wearing that smile. You will be missed by so many people. May you Rest In Peace now and have perpetual light shine upon you, Edith!
