Steven Earl Beecham, age 55, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away March 15, 2020. Steven was born in Norfolk, Virginia, to Jerry Alan and Peggy Elizabeth Beecham on May 8, 1964. He is survived by his father, Jerry and stepmother Jackie Beecham of Virginia Beach, VA; mother, Peggy Beecham of Chesapeake, VA; his children, Nickole Culver of Elizabeth City, NC, Stevie Beecham of Virginia Beach, VA, Dalton Beecham of Chesapeake, VA and Brooke Beecham of Pensacola, FL; his grandchildren, Taylor, Michael, and Daniel Culver of Elizabeth City, NC; a brother, Preston Beecham and wife Lorraine Beecham of Chesapeake, VA; mother of his children, Chrystal Beecham Scott of Roanoke Rapids, NC and many more loving family members.

He was predeceased by his grandmother, Myrtle and grandfather, William Earl Brenton; also, grandmother, Inez Beecham and grandfather, Swanson Beecham.
Steven worked as a painter for many years and worked at many places, doing what he loved, including shipyards, residential and commercial.
Steven was a devoted father, grandfather, son and brother. He was a firm believer in walking through life with Jesus Christ beside him every step of the way and he always saw the good in people. He never judged people by their life choices, their scars or their beliefs. He believed to always help the ones in need. He never let a bump in the road keep him from pushing forward. He loved his children with all of his heart. He loved to fish, ride dirt bikes, go to the beach and play guitar.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 20 at Bethany Freewill Baptist Church starting at 2:30 pm.
