ATC (AW) (Ret.) Jeffrey DeWitt Lauerman went to be with his Lord and savior on August 6,2020. He was born on December 7, 1967 in St. Clair, Pennsylvania, to George DeWitt and Saundra Jean Lauerman. His current residence was with his family in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

May 9, 2003, Jeffrey married Susana, who was the love of his life. They met while serving as recruiters then after a Naval Christmas celebration, decided they were meant for each other and have been together ever since living in many different states.
He is survived by his loving wife Susana, and sons Andrew Jeffrey and Christopher DeWitt (Virginia Beach) Rolland Bradley (wife Alicia Diana) (Stationed in Japan) a daughter Amanda Nicole Chapman and grandsons Ezra and Emmett (New Mexico). He is also survived by his parents DeWitt and Saundra and two brothers Brian and Brandon and their families. He gained many sister-in-law laws, brother in laws and nieces and nephews with his marriage to Susana.
He is predeceased by his grandparents William & Margaret Shipe and Raymond & Ferol Lauerman.
ATC Jeffrey Lauerman served his country in the United States Navy for 24 years. He retired from the Navy February 25, 2011 as a Chief after a great career. He received numerous Naval Achievement and Commendation Medals. His performance in the line of duty was always excellent and he was honorably discharged.
Following his military career Jeff worked with other large companies using his leadership, education and technical skills gained in the Navy. He worked as a Safety Training Manager for CB&I a large Engineering & Construction firm. He then worked for Terex as a Technical Training Manager. His last position after returning to Virginia Beach was working as a lead aviation electronic technician with a contractor for the Coast Guard.
Jeff was a loving and dedicated husband, guiding and loving father and grandfather. He was a son and brother to be proud of. He was devoted to all members of immediate and extended family. Some of the things he most enjoyed was camping with Susana, Christopher, and Andrew. Joining Christopher and Andrew in all Boy Scout activities. Jeff and his son Brad served together on two naval deployments for Operation Enduring Freedom on the USS Eisenhower. He always called his daughter Amanda his Pooh Bear. With his parents, grandparents, and brothers there were always holiday games of Pinochle.
A private memorial service will be held for Jeff. All arrangements will be handled by Family Choice Funerals & Cremations.
