Obituary

LCDR Albert Michael Adams, USN, (Ret.), 81, passed away peacefully, Thursday, October 29th, 2020 in the comfort of his home.
Mr. Adams was born June 21st, 1939 to the late Albert and Julia in Norwich, CT. He served our country proudly with over 20 years of dedicated service in the U.S. Navy. When he wasn’t out to sea or working, he loved to fish, working in his garden, watching his granddaughter play softball and spending time with family and friends. LCDR Adams will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, patriot and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish his memory is: daughter, Monica Laurendeau and husband TJ, granddaughter, Abigail Laurendeau; and numerous extended family members and friends. Mr. Adams is preceded in death by his son, Michael David Adams and brother, Charles Andrew Adams.

A private graveside service will be held in Norwich, CT at a later date. Please share your condolences with the family at www.FamilyChoiceFunerals.com

Many of my most meaningful life decisions were inspired by Al; I always looked up to him and his influence upon my life path cannot be overstated. He was a pinnacle of family honor and we were all blessed for his care and concern in our lives. He will be missed and his memory cherished!

Neither of us had served in the Navy with Al but knew of his professional reputation for excellence. After retirement we ended up working for the same defense support company. Bob Bell was his supervisor and I was a fortunate co-worker. Al was the expert in many technical areas and the individual called upon by fellow company team members and most importantly by our customer base for his know how and his sound recommendations. He was the ever ready Go To/Can Do shipmate who never let you or the team down. A truly superb Officer and Gentleman who will be missed. s/Capt Bob Bell, USN (ret) and Capt Dick Pearsall, USN (ret)
