William D. Jacobs Jr or “Buzzy” to all who knew him, peacefully passed away peacefully February 3rd, 2021 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.
Buzzy was born to William D. Jacobs, Sr. and Julia Jane Jacobs on July 19th, 1950 in the Sandhill’s of NC. The family moved to Virginia in 1961 where Buzzy would graduate from Bayside High School and start his family.
Buzzy leaves behind many loved ones and is survived by his wife of 48 years Sandra Jacobs; son, Christopher Jacobs and wife Tiffany Jacobs; daughter, Samantha Spencer and husband Keith Ricketts Jr.; and grandson, Nate Spencer. He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Julie, and son-in-law, Todd Spencer. Buzzy kept his circle small but lived to help those he loved. Buzzy enjoyed retirement and spent his days relaxing on the porch talking with neighbors and giving Nate a hard time.
There will be a small celebration of life held on Saturday February 6, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at his daughter’s home 469 Green Castle Lane in Virginia Beach. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society in Buzzy’s name.
